The free trial account allows you to try out the Byte Armor offsite backup service for free.
You have 30 days to use our basic offsite backup services and store up to 5 gigabytes on our servers.
You do not have to enter in any credit card information to try our free trial. After 30 days
your account will automatically switch to a disabled account in which case you have an extra
30 day grace period to access your files. You can upgrade your account at any time to a Byte Armor
standard account.
The standard account allows you to sign up for all our services. If you cancel your account within the first
30 days of sign up you will not be charged for your activity on our servers. With a standard account you are charged
0.25 cents per gigbyte per month. The highest usage you had during the month will be billed to your account.
For usage less than one gigabyte you will be billed based on the percentage of one gigabyte used. You can add or remove services
at any time, you will however be billed for the most expensive combination of services you selected at the end of the month.
This is to prevent users from changing their services too frequently and abusing the ease of signing up for them. You can cancel
your account at any time through the website with no hassels and no red tape. Credit card information is required for the standard
account.
The publication service allows you to share your withdrawn files with other people
in a controlled way. Publishing a file sends out an email with a link that can be
used to download your file. You can set an expiration date for your publication so
that after a certain day the download link is no longer valid. You can send out
as many publications as you wish, each handling 5 download hits, for $5 a month.
Sharing service allows you to share your withdrawn files with other
Byte Armor users. For $5 a month you will have the ability
to create users and groups to control access to your files.
The archive upload service allows you to upload ZIP archive files that are
then decompressed. The individual files are then processed like normal.
This allows you to upload one file to the service and then have access to
the individual files contained in the archive.
We will bill you at the end of your billing cycle. Your billing cycle and usage infomation can be viewed through the
account information page of the website.
You will be billed for the highest amount of data stored on our servers during the billing cycle. So if you have
only 5 gigabytes on our servers for 28 days and then upload another 2 gigabytes you will be charged for 7 gigabytes.
We want to allow users to change their services at any time. Every time you change your service subscriptions
a log entry is made. At the end of your billing cycle we calculate the highest cost of services you chose throughout
the month and add it to you standard monthly bill. In this way you can try one of our $5 services every week, as long as you
unsubscribe from the previous service, and you will only receive a $5 charge on your monthly bill.
You can choose to have your payment processed by Amazon.com's payment system, or Google
checkout's payment system.
We wanted to give our users the most secure payment method we could possibly find. Amazon and Google
not only have exactly what we we're looking for they also have years of experience to back it up.
Yes, you will need an Amazon or Google account to process your monthly payment.
You will be prompted to use this account or create a new account during the payment
process. We feel that the use of a secondary payment account provides extra security and
piece of mind to our users because we do not store any credit card or financial information
on our servers. We leave that up to the experts at Amazon and Google.
